I've been working mornings for the past couple of weeks so haven't been able to do two of my most favourite things: sleep in and eat a hearty breakfast.
It makes me sad when i am not constantly updating my vox. I love my vox. I am on holidays now too so there really is no excuse to not have been updating more regularly!
Here is my assemblage sculpture. I coudn't find my camera so i just took photos off my phone camera. dodgy and not the greatest lighting! But yes here is my work Longevity.

I joined the City of Sydney library yesterday with Paul. The night before i stumbled across its website and was instantly drawn to the 20 item borrow limit! I loved it sick! I really haven't borrowed from a library since high school since i always seem to incur fines at my uni libraries so i just haven't bothered into getting into that habit.
So on monday Paul and I went and joined the library, which is located in the customs house at Circular Quay. This is where you will find the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is such a pretty library. It looked more like a modern art museum instead of a place that houses thousands of books.
To celebrate my membership i borrowed The Art of Dying Young: Vicious by Mark Paytress. Its an interesting look into the life and short times of Sid Vicious, the drummer of infamous punk rock band the Sex Pistols. So far so good. He was such a character yet seemed to throw away his life all for the heck of it, well for the sake of being true to the anarchy that punk rock exuded. He was the epitomy of punk. I want to finish it by the end of this week. That's my goal.
My bag carries a lot of other crap like lip balm, work ID, iPod, keys, film, pens, money purse and of course my phone. I can't quite imagine my life without my phone, it would be like losing a child. dramatic much?
I have a couple of final assessments to complete by the end of this week as well. I have a major work for sculpture due on monday and a major work for graphic design due next friday. I really need to get my shit together and start. Procrastinating is how i roll i guess, which might just be the end of me one day.
I better go to bed so i can wake up early and have some sculpture time before work tomorrow. Enjoy the tuesday vox-ers :-)
I've been sick the past couple of days! And to make matters worse its harder to get a doctors appointment here in the city! I need to show a medical certificate for work since i bailed yesterday. I showed up for about an hour and i honestly couldn't stand up. My body was heating up but i felt freezing cold all at the same time. It was bad. I felt like a real nanna at that point. I came home and the boys once again looked after me by getting antibiotics. It was the most horrible experience having to sweat out my fever while i was sleeping. The weird thing with me though is that i'm never sick for more than a day which makes my point of proving it to work difficult.
Anyways here are some of the photos i took for my photography assessment. With limited time on my hands this is the best i could do. Enjoy your thursday vox-ers!!
I handed in my graphics assignment today. Many many thanks to Paul who helped me immensely since i am such a newb when it comes to photoshop.

Good Food + Good Company = Good Times.
Adam's friends from Brisbane came down for Mardi Gras tonight and we all had dinner together! It was a hoot! However, i've got to say that i am oh so stuffed.
Its been so gloomy today. So many flights were delayed today at work which meant that more grumpy passengers were sitting around in the lounge for us to deal with. Once again i have weaseled my way out of studying and am sitting on the computer. I swear i will go up straight after this post.
I love it when it rains. It makes me think about all the what ifs and nots. Lately i have been wanting to move out. Not away from the boys but just out of this house. When home is no longer making you happy you know its time to bust a move right? I just don't know how to get everyone else to get into the same frame of mind and want to move asap! Its tough. I mean i don't want to leave the guys. Thats the last thing on earth i want to do. But the thought of being in this house for much longer is actually painful.
Speaking of rain i need gumboots or some sort of footwear suitable for rainy days because at the moment all i own is flats and converse taylors. Not exactly shoes prone to keeping out water.

Seems another chapter in the Musti saga has happened to re open in my life. We seem to constantly be in each others way. Whenever i decide in my mind that i'm moving on he shows up. And me being the ever-so guillable and complete nimwit that i am, fall straight into that trap. My demise instantly flashes before me.
In my absence from vox i have been keeping myself busy by
- working hard for the money at my new job at Qantas
- enjoying my last weekend of summer holidays at the Good Vibrations festival and Fair Day
- trying to be somewhat healthy
- catching up with friends every spar moment i have
- spending money as quickly as i make it
- went back to uni for the year. This semester i'm doing graphic design, photography, ceramics and art history and criticism
Remember when i told you that my beautiful Motorola Razr V3xx got water clogged at the Daft Punk concert? Well last night i was cleaning my room and looked at my poor phone sitting on the shelf inanimate and all. A pang raced through my heart! So i decided i would see if it worked and chucked my sim card in.....TADA! It worked and now my baby is working again! No more do i feel incomplete hehe.....
I started the new job yesterday as well....it was pretty easy. I can imagine it getting pretty chaotic in there but honestly after doing 900 guest functions at The Westin a 600 guests through a day in a airport lounge seems quite breezy!
My weekend was random but absolutely fab! I went out with Melody and a party of others We pretty much club hopped and then had a recovery party till 10pm Sunday night. Crazy i tell you...its summer i guess!
Next weekend i get to see Kanye West and Cypress Hill at the Good Vibrations Festival :-) I am oh so stoked about that! I thought i wouldn't get the day off since it was a new job and all but shock horror!......i was given both saturday AND sunday off! I love a bit of daytime hip hop!
